"People are more likely to insult you when you're not good enough, yet still insult you when you're good enough. Pleasing everyone is impossible."I posted this on twitter a few months ago and suddenly this kind of thought came across my mind again just now. Living in a society pretty much means you have to suit the society's taste or we can say.. point of view. It's no secret that majority of people praise and worship you if you achieve great things (in a good way of course) in their life. They will lift you up, but once you fall, how many of them are there to help you to get up? Even when we're at the peak, not everyone's gonna admit it and acknowledge your hard work.
Many people praised me when I was doing good, but once I fell, more people looked down and underestimated me. In fact, those who I thought to be a good friend also talked behind my back. It was hard, really hard to be optimistic and be positive in that kind of situation. I couldn't think straight and all I could do was grieving, because I used to be that kind of person. But thanks to God, I realised that "hey, your life's still long to make this little mess up, so why being this pessimistic". In the end, I could get up and achieved something again to make my parents proud♥ though it was not much ):
Growing older, I am permitted to get to know more kind of people. Those who support you whole-heartedly through your ups and downs, and also those who still point out your flaws though you've been trying your best. After those kind of experiences, I know that pleasing everyone is indeed impossible. No matter how hard you've tried, there are still people who will tell you that you're not good enough instead of telling you that you are good just the way you are now.
So... no matter how good you are, haters are also there. But haters are gonna hate, so, yeah, the most important thing is the way we think. It's about :
Do you want to do something meaningful for you to be happy or.. to please the society?
